Awake Overnight Counselor Medical & Healthcare - Petaluma, CA at Geebo

Awake Overnight Counselor

Overview
Sonoma Compass provides short-term residential treatment for youth who are in the midst of an emerging and/or acute crisis. We view short-term residential treatment as an intervention that is integrated with a wide array of family and community-based services. As an alternative to inpatient hospitalization, treatment begins with stabilization through consistent support in a therapeutic home. Treatment is integrated and flexible to support successful step downs to a Wraparound Program in order for youth to achieve permanency in a nurturing family home.
The Mental Health Counselor provides crisis support and coaching to youth while providing a safe and nurturing environment. Counselors work in collaboration with the treatment team to assist the youth in stabilizing and perform case management duties as needed. Counselors adapts to the changing locations of the youth which may include time in the residential setting, at home, in the community as well as in the school setting.
