Senior Mechanical Automation Engineer - 3 to 6 month contract

The selected candidate will lead automated machine design projects from concept stage through implementation. Will design/develop for system solutions for small-medium sized custom industrial automation machines.
To qualify for this very exciting opportunity, you should possess a BS/MS in mechanical/mechatronics engineering with 5
years' related experience in the following areas:
Machine control/automation design experience (preferably on custom machines)
Design of closed loop control systems and precision motion control systems using servo motors, actuators and encoders
Design and implementation of electro-mechanical control system solutions
Kinematic design of machines and mechanisms and sequential controlled machinery
Part handling, robotic end-of-arm-tool design, automated and semi-automated work cell layout, part holding fixtures and process flow
Proficient with SolidWorks in generating 3D solid model designs
Because my client has government contracts, they must comply with ITAR regulations - therefore, only candidates with Green Card or US citizenship will be considered for this opportunity
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
