Web Engineer (HTML/JS/CSS/Java)

Our client, a major technology services provider located in Sonoma County, CA, is currently seeking a passionate senior level web developer who can build premier web applications using the latest cutting edge technologies. This position requires strong experience and proficiency on both web and server side platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
Research, design and develop highly scalable web applications and web services using server technology stacks that include Java, Spring, MySQL, etc
Works with management and senior software engineers to research, design, and code UI software components.
Do pair programming with a peer to not only develop but also execute on quality related tasks like code reviews, unit tests, functional testing, automation of functional and performance test cases to ensure that the features is delivered with highest quality.
Resolve fairly complex technical issues and drive innovation that improves user engagement, system availability, resiliency, and performance.
Serve as a development liaison with other engineers, architects and operations team members to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs.
Plays an integral role for ongoing product maintenance, while helping to support future versions of the product.
Develops required technical documentation as needed.
Position qualifications
4-year degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent qualifications and experience
Five years of hands-on experience at HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON, JQuery and REST with a passion for producing clean, standards-compliant code
Three years minimum experience with design and development of large scale web application using Java and J2EE technologies (JSP, JSTL, custom tags, web services, etc)
Software development experience in Linux
Experience with user interface design for Web applications
Experience with jQuery, JSPs, Servlets, Spring, Struts, Hibernate preferred
Knowledge of modern web technologies, optimization strategies, web application architecture and security
Experience with developer tools like SVN, Maven and Eclipse IDE, git, ant
Good understanding of database and SQL with the ability to write fairly complex SQL queries
Experience with source control (GIT preferred, CVS or Subversion)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
