EMBEDDED LINE CARD SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Petaluma, CA., area with Relocation)
The position of Embedded Line Card SW Developer is responsible for working with a cross functional team to develop embedded hardware and software solutions on our TDM Line Cards addressing connection setup, OAM and fault recovery on high-density SONET and OTN modules.
Additional duties include development of device drivers for SONET/OTN framers, hardware abstraction layer software and traffic switching/protection protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in SONET or OTN product development
Demonstrated experience with SONET/OTN device driver software provided by chip vendors
Experience with embedded LINUX or other RTOS
C/C+
or Object Oriented software development for systems with high availability
Minimum Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Candidates possessing the following preferred skills (see below), will receive priority in consideration for employment: Familiarity with SONET or OTN protection schemesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
