Position Overview:
As a Receiving and Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of our inventory and the smooth operation of our receiving process.
You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and accurately recording inventory data.
Additionally, you will monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and collaborate with various teams to ensure optimal inventory management practices.
Key
Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
Accurately record inventory data, including item descriptions, quantities, and storage locations, using our inventory management system.
Organize and store incoming inventory in designated locations, ensuring accessibility and efficient use of space.
Monitor inventory levels and anticipate restocking needs to ensure adequate stock levels at all times.
Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies, damages, or obsolete items and take appropriate corrective actions.
Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and other relevant departments to coordinate inventory transfers, returns, and disposal of excess inventory.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area and warehouse to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Assist with periodic inventory counts and year-end inventory reconciliations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in receiving, inventory management, or related field.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Google applications (e.
g.
, Sheets, Docs).
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
