This position requires an individual with a love and passion for working with children.
Our classroom assistants support their classroom Guide (teacher) with all school day activities in the classroom and outdoor environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience encouraging children to be independent in their learning process, model appropriate manners and behavior, and will embody a genuine love, patience and respect for children.
The classroom assistant will instruct children in activities designed to promote social emotional, physical, and intellectual growth following traditions and philosophies of Maria Montessori.
Your duties may include:
Assisting Guide with the implementation of instructional activities.
Assisting Guide with the implementation of curriculum.
Assisting Guide with the implementation of lesson plans.
Support the implementation of daily routines and projects.
Support the implementation of daily safety and security procedures.
General cleaning duties when needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent, ECE units encouraged, First Aid, CPR First Aid Certification required and will be provided if necessary.
Experience working with children or in a classroom setting is preferred.
