The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and growing Torn Ranch's sales in retail accounts, aviation and other transportation accounts, natural food stores, specialty food stores, corporate gifting and other sales channels.
In this position you will:
Actively sell to existing customers and increase sales volume.
Directly contact accounts and do direct selling.
Prospect for and secure new customers and manage all aspects of these new relationships.
Increase sales in assigned classes of trade and channels.
Interface with other company departments to ensure customer needs are met on time and in full.
Effectively launch new items into the marketplace.
Plan for, participate in, and support trade shows, trade events and major retailer events.
Develop and achieve planned sales revenue and margin targets.
Manage one salesperson, and will grow team over time.
Traits of a successful candidate:
Proven success achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Be a Hunter sales type, prospecting and introducing products and brand into the marketplace.
Be highly motivated, have a strong drive for learning and growth, and willing to take on new and expanded responsibilities.
Minimum 5 years working in food or luxury high-end outlet sales.
Be a problem solver and self-reliant.
Enjoys travel and meeting with customers in person often.
Comfort in a fast paced, fluid environment.
Strong time management and prioritization skill set.
Exceptional results orientation High degree of personal initiative, high energy and highly efficient with ability to close accounts.
Focused and goal oriented.
Education and Skills:
Minimum 5 years sales experience College degree Ability to travel; 30%
Superior written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM This position reports to:
