Summary:
This is a hybrid onsite position in our Petaluma, California remote office.
The Director, Talent & Org Development is a member of Amy's Leadership Group (LG) and the People Leadership Team (PLT), and with the other PLT members is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Amy's people strategies for Amy's Kitchen manufacturing and corporate employees.
Consistent with Amy's core values, vision and goals, this position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy that attracts talent to Amy's and facilitates the growth and development of talent throughout an employee's career at Amy's.
This work will ensure the business has the talent it needs to achieve our performance goals and drive engagement and retention throughout the company.
The Director, Talent will be responsible for talent acquisition, learning and development (including performance management), Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives and training programs at all locations.
The position provides leadership with an owner's mindset and models Amy's winning behaviors, including challenging the status quo, and High Performing Team (HPT) characteristics.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Support the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Learning & Development, in developing training objectives for our manufacturing teams and develop strategies and timelines to deliver standardized training across all plants.
Support the Talent Acquisition Team in attracting top talent (externally and internally) and creating Amy's employer brand.
Partner with department leaders and People Business Partners to understand performance gaps and identify learning and development opportunities.
Effectively analyze training resource requirements for the entire organization and make recommendations that will deliver results.
Create an annual training plan for the company with specific goals and timelines that can be measured.
Report quarterly on progress against objectives.
Develop and execute the Leadership Development Program for all levels of people leaders, including key programs like the Amy's Leadership Academy.
Continually assess the programs and determine ways to enhance our development of leaders within the organization and build a strong succession planning process.
Design and implement talent development tools to engage current and future leaders for the organization.
Create career path programs to encourage retention and growth of our employees.
Evaluate results of training programs to assess effectiveness of training.
Manage a comprehensive recordkeeping system to track and report training activities for all employees within an LMS.
Engage with peers in professional associations and collaborate with other Training/Organizational Development professionals on best practices to improve our training programs.
Lead change management for key initiatives for the business.
Develop change management capabilities across the organization.
Lead the annual performance management & talent review process including program strategy, ongoing annual goal setting, and year-end processes.
Supports HRBPs with year-end calibration sessions and ensures any business-specific performance management activities align with reward and recognition programs.
Lead Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives for the business.
Contribute as a key member on the People Leadership team.
Coach, develop and grow the Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition team members to best support the needs of the business.
Support the company objectives to increase engagement by leading the engagement of the L&D team, using engagement in all aspects of training, and developing engagement skills within the trainers.
Manage the talent development budget, workforce planning, and financial modeling for expenses for L&D and Talent Development program.
Identify opportunities to maximize investments and increase efficiencies.
It is the responsibility of all employees to uphold the mission of the Amy's Food Safety and Quality Policy.

SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
This position directly supervises the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Learning & Development and Learning & Development Specialist, and the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition.
The position indirectly supervises the manufacturing and corporate training organization and the recruiting team for manufacturing and corporate positions.

EDUCATION Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field, from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Masters' level degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE 7-10 years' experience in designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent management & L&D programs that cover performance management, talent development, training, coaching, succession planning/organization design, data analytics and relationship management.
Five years in a leadership role.
At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing, 5
leveraging, implementing, or managing HRIS and LMS systems to maximize all talent and development programming.
Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills including intermediate level excel abilities.
Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon the broad perspectives of business leaders, corporate People, and external vendors.
Demonstrated training skills, including design and delivery of training material.
Ability to develop training curriculum for a variety of topics.
Ability to create strategic training plans and manage to set budget.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Bilingual, English/Spanish is preferred MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS PHR or SPHR preferred.

California Compensation Range:
$162,400-$243,600 This range is for California employees living in the Bay area.
Other locations may be subject to a lower range.
