Assistant Director of Restaurant Operations Full-time (Exempt) Hog Island Oyster Co.
is looking for an Assistant Director of Restaurant Operations to join our growing restaurant division.
The Assistant Director of Restaurant Operations (ADRO) collaborates with the Director of Restaurant Operations and various departments to foster a successful relationship with the Hog management team as a whole.
This role assists our restaurant management teams with technical, equipment, repair/maintenance, and staffing projects, while ensuring consistent Company culture across locations.
The ADRO also acts as a fill-in manager, proficient in all operating procedures and SOPs.
Full weekend availability is required.
This position requires regular travel to our restaurant locations.
A satisfactory background check is required.

Act as a fill-in manager for all locations, including opening, operating, and closing restaurants with knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs), staffing, and floor-plans.
Collaborate with the Department of People (DOP) and Director of Restaurants (DRO) to develop and implement a Manager Training Program to keep managers updated on policies, SOPs, HR issues, and best practices.
Coordinate and participate in meetings by preparing agendas, reserving meeting locations, and documenting minutes.
Ensure each restaurant has necessary equipment and technology, assisting managers with maintenance and technical support requests.
Assist with recruitment and staffing to maintain proper levels based on business volume and fill in when necessary.
Identify and resolve cross-departmental problems, fostering collaboration between Production and Restaurant divisions.
Identify and document inefficiencies, working with the DRO to implement organizational process or policy changes.
Provide performance feedback to project team members.
Administer corrective action promptly and fairly for violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
Establish clear lines of communication with staff and management.
Promote and uphold Hog Island's Guiding Principles and Values, ensuring consistent customer service by providing training to managers and staff.
Ensure the Hog Island look, feel, and culinary standards are consistent across locations, working closely with General Managers.
Monitor the customer complaint process to ensure timely resolutions.
Collaborate with the DRO and Restaurant General Managers to develop project plans, including objectives, technologies, schedules, funding, and staffing.
Schedule and coordinate projects to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Evaluate and select technology/vendors/consultants for projects, obtaining approval and negotiating contracts.
Monitor project costs, track milestones and deliverables, and prepare progress reports and cost tracking reports.
Prepare and communicate project plans, reports, and schedules to relevant staff and departments.
Complete all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner.
Perform other assigned duties as required.

What we require:

years of restaurant General Manager experience.
Ability to effectively communicate with all staff and management members.
Experience with a variety of software programs and online tools is preferred, including:
Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Adobe CS/inDesign, Ctuit (or similar restaurant management software), Aloha POS (or other FOH POS system).
CA Food Handler certification, Manager-level a plus! Responsible Beverage Server with ABC certification.
Availability to work weekends.
The ability to occasionally lift office/restaurant/farm equipment, products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
