Just 1 hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge, our fun and engaging overnight camp program is where kids ages 7 - 17 can hike, swim, boat, explore and play.
A place where children can be themselves while participating in traditional, good old-fashioned summer camp activities in an intentional community of caring people.
Compensation:
$700 per 5-day session with housing and meals taken care of during the camp session.
What This Role Entails:
Lead (or co-lead) a group of 10 campers in a variety of scheduled and impromptu activities, indoors and outdoors, day and night You will share cabins and bunk with campers.
Support your group of campers in their adjustment to camp life including:
Wake-up your campers and put them to bed at night.
Ensure your campers are healthy emotionally (i.
e.
, keep an eye out for homesickness) and physically (i.
e.
, campers with medications report to the nurse as scheduled).
Engage with campers in safe, meaningful, age-appropriate ways through games, discussions, activities, and play Working directly with parents to ensure success Having a great attitude and work ethic Singing, dancing, being silly, wearing costumes, playing and having fun Being an ambassador to each and every family while providing the best possible customer service Willing to jump in to doing anything and everything Helping your team succeed - every day Working hard - camp days are long and tiring but also amazing Making life-long friends with your fellow teammates Having the best summer of your life What You've Done Before:
Completed minimum 1 year of college by early June and at least 18 years old Worked with kids in a formal setting for 6 months (volunteer or paid) Taken on leadership roles in any setting (school, sports, prior jobs, etc.
) Demonstrated maturity in past roles Ideally, you attended overnight camp as a kid The Commitments of this Job:
Camp days are long and hours can vary Camp Dates:
August 1 - 10, 2023 You must be able to work all days of camp and training.
You must also attend all-staff training and set-up / clean-up of camp:
Pre-camp training:
Sunday, July 30 in Richmond and 1 set-up day on-site training on Monday, July 31.
$150 training stipend for training days.
Pass a background check:
A check on the National Sex Offender Registry Website and a criminal background check through Live Scan (DOJ/FBI) Complete voluntary disclosure and health statements Provide minimum of 2 references and verified work experience First Aid and CPR/AED Certified, or ability to obtain certification prior to training Job Type:

$700/week or $1,400 for the 10 camp days.
Including training, total compensation for 7/30 - 8/10 is $1,550.
