Kindergarten After School Assistant
Job Description:
Under the supervision and direction of the program coordinator, assists in the day-to-day operations and supervision of children enrolled in the program.
The assistant provides support in the following areas:
Organize and prepare room for program daily Student transition from morning program to afternoon program Checking children in and ensuring parents sign out their children Monitor and actively participate with children during indoor and outdoor playground activities Supervise, assist, and participate in a variety of student activities Assist children in developing interpersonal skills, responsibility, problem-solving, and conflict resolution Along with the Program Coordinator, assist with overseeing program from 3-5 pm Assists in maintaining a neat, clean, safe, healthy classroom and play environment by cleaning up after activities (e.
g.
, storing materials, wiping off tables, emptying trash, sweeping floors, vacuuming, cleaning up bathrooms) as needed Attend monthly meetings and participate in training as required.
Other duties as assigned SKILLS REQUIRED INCLUDE:
Good communication Experience working with young children Collaborative team-oriented approach to tasks Excellent interpersonal skills with TK and kinder children and parents Ability to take direction and work independently Well organized and conscientious Knowledge of Waldorf Education preferred All interested candidates, please apply here:
