Network Services Supervisor

Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description Job Summary The Network Services Supervisor's primary responsibility is to provide oversight and leadership to the IT Network Services team.
The Supervisor is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all network, telecommunication and data center systems as well as for infrastructure related procurement, licensing, disaster recovery planning, network security administration and maintenance of all network and data center related equipment and infrastructure.
Education/Experience Required Knowledge of NIST, ISO, SOC, PCI, FISMA, HIPAA, GLB and other various Security-related Protocols and Standards - must be able to articulate knowledge Four-year college degree in computer science, computer engineering or closely related field Two years' experience in project leadership and/or supervisory experience required Additional qualifying lead or supervisory experience in IT project management or network administration may be substituted for the college degree on a year-for-year basis Cloud Computing - AWS, Azure or other Cloud Service Providers Office 365 Experience Five years of progressively responsible experience with network systems, telecommunication systems and data management Technical training preferred up to and including Comp TIA A+, Microsoft MCP, MCSE and Cisco CCNA, CCNP certification Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and principles used to resolve hardware, software and network connectivity issues Basic knowledge of TCP/IP in LAN and WAN environments Basic understanding of routing and CLI commands Virtualization, VDI and VMware experience.
Essential Job Functions Manage or coordinate installation, upgrade, or deployment projects, including providing on-site direction for additional network engineers Drive large scale projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations while staying within time and financial budgets Troubleshoot network systems and performance, and remediate issues professionally and concisely Show proficiency with the use of packet capture and protocol analysis tools and techniques Develop documentation, training tools, and knowledge base for issues and remediation steps for Tier 1/2 service desk Co-develop configuration and change management policies to provide a method of approval and success of changes made to networks Contribute to company vision and direction by helping improve technical practices, as well as choosing key technologies and issues to address growth Accurately estimate time and cost requirements in project development and implementation Successfully apply information engineering techniques; design a data centered information system; effectively design and use relational databases Effectively test and debug systems and programs Train and supervise technical staff; plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate the work of others Analyze new and existing technology solutions and prepare prioritized budget recommendations Write clear and concise documentation of systems and procedures which will be used to form company policy Monitor Security feeds from US-Cert and Microsoft and provide feedback to Information Systems department regarding Security Awareness and possible security risks Provide superb technical system and user support to designated clients Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees Ability to meet department attendance requirements Ability to work effectively under departmental pressure/stress situations Marginal Job Functions Continue extensive contact with other departmental staff for the purpose of work coordination and information sharing Provide support for advanced level and on-call support for large variety of networks, systems, and infrastructures Provide on-call availability during non-business hours Performs other similar or associated duties as necessary to accomplish job objectives in an effective manner as assigned by Management or as responsibilities necessitate Skills and Abilities Extensive knowledge of information technology theory, principles and practices Knowledge of computer hardware, software, local and wide area network systems Knowledge of client/server network protocols and Internet/Intranet applications Human relations skills and diplomacy Skill in working with widely diverse individuals Skill in delivering responsive, quality customer service Ability to write clear and concise documentation of systems, procedures and policy Attention to detail General administrative experience helpful Windows, Excel, Work and Outlook experience Time management skills Ability to multitask through stressful and high volume situations Maintain confidentiality as outlined in the company's Confidentiality Agreement Work well independently and as part of a team Convey professionalism in all day-to-day activities CrossCheck, Inc.
