Responsibilities Teach Science to 6th through 8th grades.
Prepare motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the subject matter, best practices, and child development.
Employ a variety of teaching methods and differentiates instruction to engage different learning styles and ability levels in the classroom.
Generate a classroom culture that is engaging, student-focused, and effectively managed.
Encourage an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of the students and elicits a greater understanding of the world around them with a global perspective.
Lead daily advisory with an emphasis on students' academic, executive functioning skills.

Effectively and consistently partner and communicate with parents, colleagues, and students.
Participate in professional development and be open to new ideas and innovative learning.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred Teaching credential Experience teaching middle school science in a student-centered learning environment STEM and Project based-learning Ability to design and deliver lessons based on best practices Experience with project-based learning Positive collaborator and a strong team player Technologically savvy Love of continuous learning and advancement Strong communication skills and rapport with students, colleagues, and parents Leadership mindset Experience as a student advisor preferred Other Friendly and collaborative work environment Opportunity for learning and professional growth Job Types:
